Facial Procedures
Face Lift
The Rhytidectomy, more commonly known as a facelift, is surgical procedure created to turn back the clock on the visual signs of early aging, uncovering a youthful appearance. A facelift will tighten sagging facial tissues, jowls, and loose neck skin. By ensuring the underlying muscles are smooth and tight, the remaining tissues can be re-draped to create a refreshed appearance. The ideal facelift candidate will be in generally good health, looking to reverse the early signs of aging. Both men and women can benefit from a facelift.
Eyelid Lift
An eyelid lift, also known as the blepharoplasty, is a surgical procedure that eliminates loose skin and bulging fat pads from the upper and lower eyelids. Many people notice the first signs of aging in the eye area. The blepharoplasty can dramatically improve the appearance by brightening the eyes and taking away a tired and puffy look. Whether you want to improve your appearance or are experiencing functional problems with your eyelids, eyelid surgery can rejuvenate the area surrounding your eyes.
Neck Lift
A neck lift, or lower rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure that improves visible signs of aging in the jawline and neck. Aging, weight loss, and genetics can take a serious toll on your neck. In fact, the neck tends to age faster than the face giving away an individual’s age in spite of their best skincare efforts. With age, the platysmal bands become flaccid, which is a major cause of sagging. Other potential causes include lipodystrophy, nasolabial jowls that extend to the neck due to laxity, and excess skin. The loss of youthful contours in the face and neck can be due to a variety of factors, including heredity, gravity, and environmental conditions.
Rhinoplasty
Surgical correction of the nose and its structures is known as a rhinoplasty. Sometimes referred to as a nose job, rhinoplasty can reshape and rebuild the nose, and help to relieve functional breathing obstructions. Because the nose plays a prominent role in the balance of one’s facial appearance, changing the nose can achieve better harmony between the nose and the facial features. A well-proportioned nose, that is harmonious with the eyes, cheeks, and mouth can have a tremendous and powerful impact on our overall facial appearance. This balance also affects the way that others view us.
Lip Augmentation
“Smile is the beauty of the soul.” -Lailah Gifty Akita. The anatomy of a smile begins with the lips and your lips should match what you feel on the inside. If your lips are out of sync with your face or soul, you can lose confidence in yourself. Thankfully, many new techniques are available that can help you create a smile that reflects who you are.
Brow Lift
Sometimes called a forehead lift, the Brow lift is a surgical technique to smooth the forehead by removing the weight of sagging skin along the upper eyelids. This outpatient procedure will relieve the tired, stressed, or unhappy look that can sometimes develop with age. While often overlooked and misunderstood, the Brow lift can dramatically rejuvenate the upper face and have a powerful affect on one’s appearance. A Brow lift reduces the wrinkle lines that develop horizontally across the forehead.
Otoplasty
Otoplasty, sometimes referred to as ear pinning, is a surgical technique to reshape the ears and often places them closer to the head. When performed on patients, an otoplasty can provide excellent benefits, removing the stigma of looking different from their friends. Otoplasty is also performed on adults who have been self-conscious of their ears all of their lives. Bucks County Aesthetic Center’s otoplasty procedure is performed as an outpatient surgery. On average, the otoplasty will take from one to two hours. Incisions are usually located in the back of the ear, though a small incision is sometimes made on the front crease of the ear.
